Description
The YEAR() function returns the numeric year value from a date expression, <expD> or a datetime expression <expT>. If SET CENTURY is ON (default), the century will be displayed with normal date displays.

? date() 04/04/2004 ? year(date()) 2004 ? year(datetime()) 2004
