The RELEASE command deletes memory variables, and releases the storage that they were occupying. Recital will automatically release PRIVATE memory variables when a PROCEDURE or PROGRAM returns. You cannot release memory variables belonging to other procedures. If you RELEASE ALL from the '>' prompt, then all memory variables will be deleted. If you RELEASE ALL from a PROCEDURE, then only those memory variables that are PRIVATE to the PROCEDURE will be deleted.
