This is not correct, you can build an installer with the currently shipping version (1.1) and no additional software is necessary. As has been mentioned before the NSIS installer is included with Lianja. Please see the following posts for more detail:

    Hi Victor,

If you follow the information presented from the first link Dave posted about building desktop installers, that provides you with the basics on how to create a setup exe file for desktop applications.
When you have the template open in Lianja App Builder, you can customize it to suit your install and include any additional files you want to include.
Currently the template includes all the sample apps you can see in the app builder. You would want to remove those and add your app instead.

The setup exe file will install on the users machine Lianja App Centre (step 1), any data files - if required (step 2), your app (step 3).
The remaining sections are added so you can include lianja library, page library and extension files (if applicable).

You can also create your own section to include other files, such as image files, if you wish.
In order to try to understand some of sections that are used, I needed to do some research on installer program being used called NSIS.
Here is the main site should you want to learn more about it: http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page
Also included in that site in the documentation section is a complete manual for NSIS.

    I hope this helps you.

    Cory
