Measuring performance of a Windows PC or server

Did you know that Windows has a built-in utility for measuring CPU and disk performance.

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/...(v=ws.11).aspx

From an elevated command prompt (Run as administrator) type the following commands:

    winsat cpu
    winsat disk -drive c

    Interesting information.
I have compared my SSD vs. HDD in the same laptop, finding SSD is at least 3 times faster than HDD according these numbers.
Even 6 - 40 times. I've never regretted putting SSD instead of DVD drive. A small loss for the great gain.

    Solid state HDD improvement
    Random read MB/s 1290 195 6x
    Sequential read MB/s 239 75 3x
    Sequential write MB/s 230 75 3x
    Av.read w/ seq.write ms 0.383 6 15x
    Latency 95 Percentill ms 0.609 24 40x
    Latency max ms 65 234 3x
    Av.read w/ rand.write ms 0.368 7 20x

BTW, "winsat cpu" needs an additional option (-encryption or -compression) to work.
