Conflict between Set Filter and Set Order

This sequence of commands in a Click delegate gives the odd performance shown:

use event
disp stat // This shows there is a tag called Start
brow // Data displays correctly
set filt to tlid=205
brow // Filtered Data displaying correctly
set order to start
brow // No data in the browse display

I'm a newbie, obviously, am I missing something or is this a bug?
