Hi WJ,

You can develop custom gadgets in code if thats what you mean.

If you are trying to change the behavior of UI elements such as formitems you use meta types and metadata.

Lianja is based on declarative development by setting attributes and coding delegates if needed. This provides for a known UI structure (the LOM) that enables generating web and mobile Apps independent of the target device.
