App, Page, Section, Fields, Gadgets Settings

    Hi

May I know where are the app, page, section, etc settings stored in?

Are the settings stored in some Lianja system tables?

Can we write programs to programmatically change these settings during runtime?

    Your advice is much appreciated

    Thanks & Best Regards

    Hi Tek Hong,

they are all in the .lianja file, in xml.

You are attempting to solve a problem that does not exist: the LOM (Lianja Object Model) allows addressing the attributes programmatically.

    Hi Hank

Is the XML file encrypted to safeguard it from unauthorised changes?

    Your advice is much appreciated.

    Thanks & Best Regards

    Hi TH,

no it's not. This isn't an issue on cloudserver apps of course; and since the app center doesn't need to compile files (if you have compiled them before sending them over -- it won't compile prgs, but will compile rsp and vcp files), you could make that directory read-only for users.

Alternatively, if this is a concern you can also investigate using Molebox, to pull the entire app into its own virtual environment. No registration of ActiveX if you are using them, etc. We haven't tried it yet with Lianja (David LeMesurier is fairly expert at using Molebox), but it should work. If it works we'll provide an example in Hello, Lianja.

    hth,

    Hank
