canvas combobox events not firing

I have created a canvas and in it dropped a combobox object. Created the choices taht will be displayed and wanted to fire an event on Change and an on data change. These two don't appear to be working.
I added and on-click event to display same code snippet (basic messagebox), this click event works.

messagebox("Click")

Any advice on how to use this appreciated.
By default I believe the code will be vfp, advice on javascript also needed.

The "Interactivechange" event is fired when a new value is selected from the combobox.

I have spent last 5 minutes sitting on the naughty step, cos I thought I must have been doing something wrong, back at the computer now and have added the said code

messagebox("Test from interactive change")

in the mentioned delegate, still no joy, will head back to the naughty corner and come back and see what I have done wrong again.

Thats working ok for me too. What version and build date are you running? You can see the build date on the home page of the App Builder.
