    Webcast topics

    Hello,

In a previous thread, Cox suggested having a webcast to better illustrate certain features and Barry replied by asking for topic suggestions. I created this thread for that reason: to put forward possible topics for webcasts (and to keep the subject in a single thread rather than having it spread across several threads).

    Barry/Yvonne/Dave:
I hope you don't mind me creating this thread. It should also make it easier for each of you as well.

Here are some possible topics based on previous conversations/posts:

    Virtual Tables

App Builder Layout Intro (especially for new Lianja members - lots of changes since some posts and tutorials were created)

    App Package and Deployment

Please feel free to add your own suggestions.

    Cory

On virtual tables, various scenarios, i.e. use of 'local', database tables on MySQL, on MS SQL.
Any resulting screencast should be used as a "solution" to various threads that have been raised on the topic. This is important for Lianja is being shipped as a NoCODE solution, but believe me, when you read on the intricate coding/setups that are required in some of the threads, it could scare quite a number of people, hence a summary video on how easy some of these functions can be implemented is a bonus.
These videos should also where possible address the other languages that can be used with Lianja.
Think I also mentioned somewhere that each RC as it comes to fruition should have something similar that expands on the roadmap document on features that have been implemented, issues that have been resolved etc.

Noted. Most of the forum threads are vfp dev related which is really only one of the aspects of Lianja.

you are correct, there needs to be more posted on NoCode and the other scripting languages that Lianja supports; PHP, Python and JavaScript.
