Cannot update some records in a WebApp

Web app: I can't update some records. (Canvas section and edit box)
I usually see normal text in the edit box for these records.
    I get
    > Update failed
    Record could not be updated
Record 0 is out of range <
    or
    > Update failed
    Record could not be updated
    invalid json format <
    What can I do?

    Thanks
    Georg

    Hi Georg,

So you are not using a database in your web app? You can do this, but the tables have to be stored in the app directory, and of course that means setting permissions for the web site to make those files writable. All of which isn't the best idea -- I would suggest always using a database, if indeed you are not already doing so.

:-) The table I extracted two problematic records from is part of a database.

Oh, you didn't include the database when you zipped up the table. I would need the database to test what you indicated about the table.

Oh, sorry, I sometimes think in categories of Visual Foxpro.

    I zipped all but:
    The following errors occurred:

ereignis.zip: Your file of 4.00 MB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 97.7 KB for this filetype.

So, you may download it from

No joy downloading. Probably a permissions thing.

I assume that some characters could be causing the problem. I have a canvas edit box for input, but some texts were copied and pasted from Word.
By the way I'm surprised that sometimes "flat text" isn't produced. I'll also write a ticket, single quotes in a section caption mean that the web app doesn't work.
