That is how split screen editing is implemented in web/mobile apps.
Look at the example “split grid” app and you will see how the split grid editing is laid out as tabs.
This allows this type of section to operate on touch devices with less space to display than you have on a desktop.

Sorry Barry, but I had already done this setting. Split grid = true and Show split edit = true. In the desktop app, it only doesn't work in the browser window.
What doesn't work in the browser window?
