Progress bar

Hi

I have some procedures that take a few seconds, even minutes to complete, I was wondering If the progress bar might give the users some certainty of how long the procedures will take to finish. I was hoping if there´s any documentation where I can see how I can implement them and how do they work.

If the process not something that has to happen before the user does anything else, you can run it in the background and flash a notification to the user when it's done. Or you can have a notification widget in a sidebar that tracks tasks being done in the background and shows their status. Users rarely like waiting.
