    Does Lianja support plug ins?

    Hi,

I'm researching the feasibility of Lianaja for a project that will require the ability to send batch emails to records to remind them to update their records as well as for announcements.

Can eMailChimp or similar platforms be added to Lianja?

    Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi Steven

    Yes.

In Lianja 8 we have integrated email support also.

What quantity of emails are you needing to send?

    Hi Steven,

MailChimp (and very other mail service these days) has an http API. MailChimp has a Python Library that can be used within Lianja. Actually, however, the amount of code to make the case is trivial: it's a single https post. Here's an example written in C#, but any language, including LianjaScript, could follow the same pattern. https://gist.github.com/pedroadaodev...3389012b64d11f

If you have volume, these days you have to be a trusted mail provider to not have your email flagged as spam.

MailChimp has a variety of tools you may not need. There are others, e.g.: sendinblue.com and smtp.com. It's a big business. smtp.com has a $5 add-on that protects you against sending to invalid email addresses. Sending to a lot of invalid addresses (which is important for both your customer and your customer's email address reputation, it turns out).

Anyway, these days almost all the API's use calls that are a) easy to implement and b) can done done easily in Lianja.

PS: And I am waiting to see what Lianja has in V8 for integrated email support -- that could be interesting.

    Hi Steve,

FYI Lianja 8 uses twilio/sendgrid POST API to send emails.

As Hank pointed out it required a bit of setting up to prevent email going to spam.

We can help you with that and allow a custom email target for you to use if required.
