Thats coming soon as I have bundled an installer that can build an exe with the Lianja App Center embedded in the installer together with the apps/database you select in the "Deploy workspace. There's a new button in the HeaderBar of the "Deploy" workspace -- "Build Installer".

OTOH is he's wondering how to deploy to cloud for browser and mobile access thats just a matter of "Deploy" and hit on a known URL. We'll have Lianja Cloud up and running in about a month with some sample apps for beta testers to play with.

On a LAN with a Linux server, just deploy the apps and data and you can use the Guacamole HTML5 client in the browser too.

So yes Herb, you are correct, there are different ways to deploy depending on whether you want desktop, web or mobile access -- or all of them concurrently.

The sooner the better
I had a painful deployment this weekend of a small mobile app using a popular platform. I had some stored procedures in SQL Server, Had my PHP to call the procedure. Created my Data model to handle the incoming data. Created my Datastore and attached it to my model, attached my store to my grid, which was in my view. Added some editor handlers for updates in the grid.
Then I wired my events in my controller, to handle the updates back to the php url that handles the inserts back to SQL Server


All the while realizing tha the same could be accomplished in Lianja in three lines of code.....

I think there is some confusion for people making a switch from running an executable to running a browser based app.
I think what K!k3 is really asking is "How do my clients run my application"

I thought that might be the case, and that he was stuck on the solution rather than looking at the problem. Or, as the quote goes, "if you want to solve a problem, focus on the problem, not the solution."

OTOH, I thought there might be a real-world need unable to be solved by other means. I couldn't think of one, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

So, just trying to differentiate his need(s) from my assumption.
