I've been finalizing the release of Lianja 5.0 and during that process finishing off the initial release of the Report Builder which is included in it.

In the latest build there is a lot of functionality exposed that makes for powerful reporting.

    - Custom header and footer images
    - Custom header and footer delegates

    - Detail attributes are now fully operational

    - Many delegates now exposed for handling custom code while a report is being generated and at runtime after generating it.
    - Before generating a report (Lianja/VFP custom code)
    - After generating a report (Lianja/VFP custom code)
    - Before a group (Lianja/VFP custom code)
    - After a group (Lianja/VFP custom code)
    - Click on a row (JavaScript custom code)
    - Double click on a row (JavaScript custom code)
    - Click on a hyperlink (JavaScript custom code)
    - Render a custom cell (any custom generated html content)

The JavaScript runtime delegates (Click, DblClick and Hyperlink) enable you to navigate within your App or use Lianja.showDialog(), Lianja.showDialogPanel() to drill down through the data in a report.

When a report is embedded in an App this operates seamlessly with the filters, search filter and QueryBuilder.

Preview the report and print it or generate a pdf.

The only thing left is sub-reports which will be made available in a future version point release.

    Enjoy.

    Hi Barry,

Is it possible to generate a report from a cursor?

Yes. Just specify the cursor alias.
