Trouble deploying/publishing

Hi all

So I am completely new to Lianja and trying to figure some thing out.
I made a very simple test project, with an app using the southwind database.
It seems to be working fine.

But I am struggling to deploy it.
I have tried to follow the wiki's instructions (http://www.lianja.com/doc/index.php/...ps_for_Windows) but it seems that it is quite dated and not much help.
Step 2 simply states: Deploy your app and databases with a link to here (http://www.lianja.com/doc/index.php/...ocal_Directory) that contains an instructional video. Or rather, should contain an instructional video, because it is not there. For the rest of the page seems to build on what is explained in the video, explaining what to changes to do a web/mobile deploy.

I only want to do a 'simple' desktop deploy. I have tried going to Apps and doing a quick deploy, but get this message:

Deploying using 'Copy'
No Selected Database files to copy.
No Selected App files to copy.
No Selected Library files to copy.
No Selected Page Library files to copy.
No Selected Extension Library files to copy.
No Selected MetaTypes to copy.
No Selected Modules to copy.
"

I can't seem to find any other tutorial or help files on this. Could anyone please direct me to where I can learn to simply deploy an app?

Follow the steps/screenshots here.

In the Deploy Workspace:

1. Click the checkbox next to the database, Apps and library files you want to deploy.
2. Click the 'Preview changes' toolbutton in the headerbar.
3. Click the 'Commit changes' toolbutton in the headerbar.

If you are using 'Quick Deploy', click the 'Setup' button - this takes you to the Deploy workspace - click the checkbox next to the database, Apps and library files you want to deploy then return to the Pages workspace and reopen the 'Quick Deploy' dialog and you can now 'Preview' and 'Commit' from the dialog as required.

Thanks for the help, that seems to have got it working.
I have a follow up question in regards to deployment.

I am working in vfp and want to create an app I can ship to clients. Is it possible to build an app in Lianja that can run outside the app center?
If so,can you direct me to instructions to achieve this?

An unrelated query: I see your page items can accept css styling, but is it possible to create one css stylesheet and simply link it?

Hi gdswardt,

For desktop clients, the Lianja App Center is required, but you can specify command line options to open an App or program directly and disable the App Center splash screen. See Command Line Switches in the Lianja wiki.


CSS in the Lianja wiki
Yes, the 'CSS Style' attribute can be set to a CSS string or the name of a CSS file. The 'app:/' and 'lib:/' prefixes can be used to reference the current App or the Lianja library respectively.
