Adding fields to a grid from another table

As I try to placing field from another table into a grid section I get an error message "You cannot drop this column onto this section". Is it possible to construct a grid from more tables? For example: from related code tables. Thanks in advance...

If you want to display fields from more than one table use a "local" virtual table.

    Hi stogiz,

Depending on your usage, you could also use KEYLOOKUP().
If you search the forum for 'keylookup', you should get quite a few listings.

The data mapping sample app has an example of this.

To enhance Barry's reply, in the virtual table definitions, you would specify everything you need in the sql command.

Here is an older thread of mine. Perhaps it still may be helpful.
