    Server connection lost

When I try to preview in Web App View, I get the "Server connection lost" message as shown below.
The connection to local host is ok from my other system which uses it (MS Visual Web Developer).

Do I need to set a parameter somewhere for "Local Host", or...?

    Hi,

when i've had the issue, it has a) been with a lot of records using a build < 1.5 release; or b) a sign that I messed up one of the grid's (I've only seen it in a grid) column controlsources.

I thought I had deployed my database but looking back at it I hadn't done it properly.

Now I have a deployment problem.

I am trying to deploy it using procedure at http://www.lianja.com/doc/index.php/...le_Client_Apps.

As shown there I select the database and click on Preview Changes, then I get "You must specify a remote server". The only field to enter any server information is disabled.

I feel I am out of my depth and will need to go back to reading the basics, unless you can offer some better advice.

    TIA

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

The default settings for deployment are in the App Settings. If the Publisher is set to Copy, localhost is assumed and the Server is blank. For SFTP a Server is required.

If you create a new Deployment Settings profile as described here, you can edit the individual Deployment Settings to your requirements in the Deploy workspace itself (the example shown is deploying to a share point).

    Regards,

    Yes! Thanks for that.

My original problem of "Server Connection Lost" has gone and I'm seeing the page "properly".

Now have different problem. VFP Code in Custom Delegates not being executed - did I read somewhere that this has to be Javascript?

Yes. Although the LianjaWebFramework which is automatically included in the HTML5/JavaScript App that is generated for you includes most of the common VFP functions plus quite a few more to speed up your development.

    See this article.
