    Hi Cory,

System tables like sysindexinfo operate on databases, not directories. Ask your Centos system administrators if they can create a symbolic link to your directory from the /opt/lianja/server/data/ directory, e.g.

    Code:
    ln -s /home/cory/test/testdata /opt/lianja/server/data/testdata
That way, you will be able to use sysindexinfo, but will not need to change your DSN.

    Regards,

    Yvonne

    Hi Yvonne,

    Thank you for the suggestion.
Creating the symbolic link seemed to have worked.
The grid from sysindexinfo query now displays data.

Now to address my last concern.
I'm still trying to improve my data access speed.
I apologize if I am not describing this correctly.

How do I set (or select) an index and use a virtual table so that the virtual table query is optimized?

    Cory
