Is there a tutorial on how to distribute an app to computers without Lianja?

Is there a tutorial on how to create an installation package?

I have a test app and now I want to see if I can create an installation file that I can run on another computer. I'd like to be able to run my app on a computer that does not have Lianja installed.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Looks like I need to install the "App Center Runtime Client Only" installed in \Lianja\Redist. I couldn't find anything on this so I presume it is not available for the 30 day trial which I have.

Can someone confirm this? I'd really like to make sure I can create installation exe for desktop installations.

Also, for anyone searching for this in Beginners Forum, here's the url I found for doing this in another forum.

    Hi Steve,

Just download the App Center Distro that matches the version of the App Builder and copy it into the redist directory.

This will be embedded in your installer file for you App and will install quietly on the target machine if it is not already installed.

    Hi Steven,

You need to download this one exe extra, if you want to deploy.

Then you need only to copy this exe to Lianja's folder "redist" and everything is prepared for deployment.
(in this example there is also an older version in this folder)

    Thanks Josipradnik!

I really appreciate your taking the time to make it totally clear what I need to do. I started looking around last night and wasn't sure which file to download.

    Thanks Josipradnik and Barrymavin!

I managed to create a setup.exe and install it on a laptop without Lianja.

It ran okay but crashed at some point so I'll need to figure that out. It's probably some bad code on my part.

FYI, the documentation indicated the login default would be user: "admin" and pword: "admin". However, those (and variations of) did not work and my account login didn't work so not sure what would. I added a user in the manager users tile and that did the trick.

I'm not able to create the reports to the fine level I need to but I guess the coming ver 2 will probably take care of that. I think I can do everything else I need to as a minimum and the rest will come as I gain more experience.

Your support has been fantastic. Think I'm ready to take advantage of your Black Friday special.

    Thank you folks so much.

    Hi Steven,

Look for login problem here, maybe it helps:

    3. You have to deploy the "system" tables so you sync your users with your runtime. You can then login (using any username/password that you have synced) the app center which is for your end-users to run your apps.
These usernames affect roles and permissions when a user logs in. What apps they see, what pages, sections and fields they can see and perform CRUD (Create, Read. Update, Delete) operations on.
