If you have not done so, you need to allow installation of third party applications.
https://it.nmu.edu/docs/allowing-third-party-applications-install-macbook

If you have already done that check that the pkg is the same size as the one on the download folder.

This has never been reported by any other MacOS users and I use Lianja on the Mac myself.

Try what's mentioned in this YouTube video but drag the downloaded pkg file into the console window as described in the video.

I install MacOS 10.13.6 on a Parallels VM, and Install Lianja with no problems.
