I have a DBC in vfp that contains just views
I drag and drop this onto the databases section and it gets imported
How do I access the view code as it is not shown in the database or table dialogues

Views are not currently supported in the DBC Importer. You can add views and stored procedures to a Lianja database, but they are not imported from the VFP dbc.

If I create them by hand do they go into the data base or sysodbc.ini file in the current directory as per the wiki documentation ?

You will want to create virtual tables rather than views (which appear in the database, IIRC, but yes, the detinition of which is stored in sysodbc.ini). Views are old, VT"s are new -- and have the features (more or less) you associate with views.

Hi Hank,

What is the difference between a view and a VT, in terms of functionality etc ?

For project import It would be better to go with views I think so there is less code to change in the app afterwards.

I intent to re write rather than import my apps, but am testing import to see what works and what does not
