Description

The LIST PROFILE command works in conjunction with the PROFILE and SET PROFILE commands to list input/output, locking and procedure call statistics for a particular application or part of an application. This information can be used for analysis to enable application optimization and general performance tuning.

Profiler environment settings

The first part of the listing shows current settings (certain are internal and cannot be changed):

Profiler data

Profiler data information is then shown for each profiled code section

  • count
  • icachereads
  • icachewrites
  • ireads
  • iwrites
  • readlocks
  • writelocks
  • unlocks
  • disk reads
  • disk writes
  • elapsed time
  • disk operations
  • locking operations
  • procedure calls
  • function calls

Profiler procedure calls

The final part of the listing shows procedure call statistics:

  • Name of procedure
  • Number of times called
  • Time in procedure (second, milliseconds, microseconds)

Output keywords
