Record Level Validation

Hi All

May I know which delegate should I use to put my record level validation code for a form section?
If the record validatation OK, I wish to update some other table record. May I know which delegate to put the code to perform such update?

I see the following delegates for form section
a) Change
b) After Data Changed
c) Before Data Update
d) After Data Update

May I know the difference between "After Data Changed" and "After Data Update"?

Use the section 'Before Data Update' delegate. If the validation fails, call the section's cancel() method.
