Is there a theoretical, technical, legal, or other barrier to Lianja being able to handle VFP .dbf tables (including cdx files) for both reading and writing?
Theres a technical reason. Lianja handles 64 bit file access VFP is all 32 bit. You need to convert the files with the facilities we provide.
Reading is supported if it wasn't you couldn't import the files.
During the migration of the VFP system, in order for the VFP and Lianja programs to run simultaneously, it would be necessary to be able to manage the data from both systems. (This only works with SQL tables for now.)
