Tool to unformat the text in a canvas richtext field?

The text of my canvas richtext editor fields is formated (by html).
I need this text additionally unformated (as flat text).
Is there a function?

The "remove formatting" button of the canvas richtext editor doesn't work in deskview and is missing in webview.

Barry, thank you, yes, this is the right function to get plain text out of my canvas richtext fields.
If I fill in this plain text into the canvas fields again so I have "unformated text". Thank you again!

My next problem in this context:

It seems to me the ENCODE(flattext) doesn't work right with other than latin letters.

An example:
In latin letters (german text)
"Hier sind deutsche Umlaute ä,ö, ü" should generate "Hier sind deutsche Umlauten ä%2Cö%2C ü"
You can try it with translate.google.com

But now take cyrillic letters (ukrainian language)
"В ім'я Отця, і Сина, і Святого Духа." google translate generates ok: "В ім'я Отця%2C і Сина%2C і Святого Духа."
(only the komma is encoded)

But the ENCODE() generates:
В ім'я Отця%2C і Сина%2 C і Свято го Духа. Амінь

This is wrong for me.

Is there another function than ENCODE to generate a text like google?

The text contains all non HTML tags.

That should return the uff-8 characters if thats what you have input.

How have you input those cyrillic characters? they should be uff-8.

By keyboard, switched to Russian, Ukrainian, Greek...
But some texts I copied and now I see these were not all UTF8 web pages but ISO...

If I do with the a richtext meno field in the work space of the App Builder

? memofield

then it shows the html source text. And this looks like UTF8 !!!
Is there a function to show the html source of these memo fields?
